Disneyland {Last post, I promise}

Well, it’s been nearly four weeks since we left for Disneyland.

It’s officially time for me to wrap up the photos.

{And also to admit that I suck at blogging. But that’s another story}

So. Day Two, we headed on over to California Adventure.

California Screamin’ was a big hit 🙂

The girls {and really, everyone, loved it!}

Image

California Adventure seemed so much less . . . chaotic than Disneyland.

I don’t know if there truly were fewer people, or if the pathways are wider, or what.

But you could actually walk from ride to ride and *not* feel like cattle being herded around.

You could find a spot to sit and eat during lunch time.

It was kind of a breath of fresh air.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Disneyland.

As far as magic goes, that’s my favorite place to be.

But I’m a country girl.

I like it quiet.

I like it peaceful.

And I get a liiiiiiitle nervous when I’m stuck in the middle of enormous crowds of people.

Image

Tay and I did quite a bit of wandering off on our own.

There were a lot of rides she just couldn’t go on,

and I didn’t think it was fair for her to have to watch while everyone else waited in their hour-long lines for a ride.

So we went off exploring 🙂

Image

And it worked great because we got to see a lot that the others didn’t get to see.

Image

We managed to get fast passes to ride Radiator Springs Racers on our final day.

It may very well have been my favorite ride.

So.much.fun.

Image

We traveled a lot back and forth between the two parks trying to make sure we got to see and do everything we wanted.

The last time we were at Disneyland we had a 5-day park hopper pass, and this time we were only there for 3 days,

so planning our days was a must.

We spent a little time back at Disneyland on our third day.

Image

And when evening grew near, we were sad to say goodbye.

Image

But we still had half a day of shopping in Downtown Disney to look forward to.

That eased our pain a little.

Image

And now, I’ve officially decided to become a travel photographer 😉

That way I can follow everyone else along on their vacations, capturing their sweet memories!

Sounds like heaven to me!

Hugs,

Liz

Disney, Day 2

Our second day of vacation, was our first day at Disneyland 😉

It started bright and early, of course, because the park opened at 8, and we were in a hurry to get there.

Even my sleeper-inners were wide awake in time.

Poor Jerm missed the Minnie shirt memo.

Image

Sierra made a bee-line for Splash Mountain.  Her most favorite Disneyland ride.

I stayed back with Tay and took pictures 🙂

Image

Then Tay and I wound up on our own for a bit, so we explored Toon Town, and met some special “people”.

And we met up with the sissies just in time to visit with Mickey!

Image

I made Kam an appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique that afternoon.

To say she LOVED it is a severe understatement.

I think she could’ve stayed and been pampered all day.

My sweet little princess girl.

I love the parade.

It’s so magical to me.

Image

My girls love it too.  Kam waved to EVERY single princess.

Sissy and Uncle Josh braved the rides together.

This little princess is a crazy flyer!

Miss Tay, sweet girl, she loved the carousel.

Image

Ahhh, Churros.

We had to budget for them before we even left for vacation.

Winding down.  Sleepy girls after a full day at the happiest place on earth.

Happiness

Well, it doesn’t look like I’m doing much better keeping up with my new blog space, does it?

Not sure why, but it seems like my days get shorter and shorter as the years go by.

So.  We just got back from Disney!

Actually, it’s been over a week now ~ but there was so much going on when we got back,

I wasn’t able to sort through photos until just now.

Ahhh, we had such fun.

It was the little girls’ first trip, and it had been 6 years since my big girls’ visit!

Loooooong overdue.

Our first day was our travel day.

Image

We didn’t have to be to the airport until 11am, which was wonderful for this family of late-risers!

We leisurely made our way to Portland, and enjoyed our flight on JetBlue.

I don’t think we’ve ever flown with them before, and I don’t mean to sound like an advertisement, but they were amazing!

No charge for checked luggage. Free snacks, drinks, and TV.  And super friendly flight attendants.

Image

Everything about our travel was seamless, which is such a blessing when traveling with small children.

We got in to Long Beach late in the afternoon, caught a shuttle to our hotel, and set out to explore Downtown Disney that evening.

The perfect start to our vacation!

Stay tuned for the next installment 😉

Hugs,

Liz
