Disney, Day 2

Our second day of vacation, was our first day at Disneyland 😉

It started bright and early, of course, because the park opened at 8, and we were in a hurry to get there.

Even my sleeper-inners were wide awake in time.

Poor Jerm missed the Minnie shirt memo.

Sierra made a bee-line for Splash Mountain.  Her most favorite Disneyland ride.

I stayed back with Tay and took pictures 🙂

Then Tay and I wound up on our own for a bit, so we explored Toon Town, and met some special “people”.

And we met up with the sissies just in time to visit with Mickey!

I made Kam an appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique that afternoon.

To say she LOVED it is a severe understatement.

I think she could’ve stayed and been pampered all day.

My sweet little princess girl.

I love the parade.

It’s so magical to me.

My girls love it too.  Kam waved to EVERY single princess.

Sissy and Uncle Josh braved the rides together.

This little princess is a crazy flyer!

Miss Tay, sweet girl, she loved the carousel.

Ahhh, Churros.

We had to budget for them before we even left for vacation.

Winding down.  Sleepy girls after a full day at the happiest place on earth.

Happiness

Well, it doesn’t look like I’m doing much better keeping up with my new blog space, does it?

Not sure why, but it seems like my days get shorter and shorter as the years go by.

So.  We just got back from Disney!

Actually, it’s been over a week now ~ but there was so much going on when we got back,

I wasn’t able to sort through photos until just now.

Ahhh, we had such fun.

It was the little girls’ first trip, and it had been 6 years since my big girls’ visit!

Loooooong overdue.

Our first day was our travel day.

Image

We didn’t have to be to the airport until 11am, which was wonderful for this family of late-risers!

We leisurely made our way to Portland, and enjoyed our flight on JetBlue.

I don’t think we’ve ever flown with them before, and I don’t mean to sound like an advertisement, but they were amazing!

No charge for checked luggage. Free snacks, drinks, and TV.  And super friendly flight attendants.

Image

Everything about our travel was seamless, which is such a blessing when traveling with small children.

We got in to Long Beach late in the afternoon, caught a shuttle to our hotel, and set out to explore Downtown Disney that evening.

The perfect start to our vacation!

Stay tuned for the next installment 😉

Hugs,

Liz

Easter

We had such a lovely Easter.

The skies cleared, and the sun shone in celebration of such a glorious day.

Image

We started the day at church,

Image

and shortly afterward we headed to my mom and dad’s.

Image

There was an egg hunt for the kiddos, all sorts of yummy treats and food, but you know what their favorite part was?

The bubbles.

Image

And I can’t say that I blame ’em.  They are awfully fun!

And we had to get a snap of the cousins {minus Tay who wasn’t havin’ it}

I just love this photo!  Beautiful girls!!

Image

Then it was off to Jeremy’s mom and dad’s for more Easter fun {and Bible study after that!}

How fun to be able to hunt eggs outside.

Living in Oregon we are LUCKY to get sunshine at all in the Spring. I was so happy it made an appearance on Easter.

And then we went home and flung ourselves into bed after a very long, very happy day! 🙂

Hugs,

Liz

Mark 16:6

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said.  “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified.

He has risen!  He is not here.

See the place where they laid him.

Amen, Amen, and Amen!

Happy Easter!

New Blog

For months I’ve been battling with Blogger, and I’m too exhausted to do it any longer.  So here we are, my new blog!  I’m sad to let my old one go.  So many memories {and friends!} there.  But the real reason I blog is to document for myself {and my girls}, and I haven’t been able to do that.  So, I’m making my peace with some new changes.  I know nothing about WordPress, so help a gal out with some tips and tricks, would ya? 🙂

Ahhhh, so much is going on here.  Too much for one starter post.  We are counting on down to our Disneyland trip.  Oh my goodness, the girls are excited.  It is our FIRST trip as a family of six.  The little girls have never been.  The thought of seeing their faces for the first time as we enter the gate . . . it’s overwhelming to me.

We’ve been keeping busy with our school days, Bible studies, and day trips.  Life.

And we’re loving every minute.
